Church Wedding and Fitzroy Gardens Photography

The Fitzroy Gardens, in East Melbourne are a long-time favourite hotspot for wedding photography. Always open, never closed and free to enter, they provide a multitude of wedding photography settings. From the lake, to the bridge, rain forests and gazebos, these idyllic gardens also feature Captain Cook’s cottage. Wedding parties have descended upon the Fitzroy Gardens for generations- I can remember photographing some of my first weddings there in 1978. The fashion was very different then to how it is now!

At the Centre Ivanhoe, upper floor

This lovely couple had some amazing fun moments during their brief stopover at the Fitzroy Gardens, en route to “The Centre”, Ivanhoe. The newlyweds were bubbling with natural energy which provided lots of spontanaiety for photography. Lots of unposed, natural photography was the order of the day, and the pictures tell the rest of the story.
